A mudslide sweeps away cars and a bus in Santiago after the wettest October on record

A torrent of water, mud, and rocks swept away cars and a public transport bus in San Carlos de Apoquindo, Las Condes, eastern Santiago, after a week of record rainfall. Six people were injured, with no deaths or missing people reported; President José Antonio Kast declared the district a disaster zone.
