Terms of use

Effective September 19, 2026

These terms govern your access to Planet Briefing, a service operated by 2620612 Ontario Inc. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Informational service

Planet Briefing helps people discover and understand reported events. Its maps, summaries, classifications, scores, rankings, locations, and other generated material may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. The service is not professional, emergency, legal, medical, investment, safety, or travel advice. Verify important information with the cited source and the relevant public authority before acting on it.

Permitted use and ownership

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access Planet Briefing for your personal, lawful use. Except for underlying facts and third-party materials, Planet Briefing's generated summaries, scores, rankings, classifications, compilations, databases, page designs, branding, and selection or arrangement of content are owned by or licensed to 2620612 Ontario Inc.

Without prior written permission from Planet Briefing, you may not copy, reproduce, republish, redistribute, sell, sublicense, scrape, bulk-download, systematically extract, create a competing dataset from, or commercially exploit that material. You may not use Planet Briefing content, scores, rankings, summaries, or datasets to train, evaluate, or operate a machine-learning or automated decision system without prior written permission. Ordinary links to public Planet Briefing pages are permitted if they do not imply endorsement or misrepresent the linked material.

Sources and third-party services

Source links and attribution are retained where available. Source material remains subject to its owner's terms, and no source is represented as endorsing Planet Briefing or its generated summaries. Links, maps, identity providers, advertising, payment processing, and other third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices.

Accounts and acceptable use

You are responsible for safeguarding your account and for activity performed through it. Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation or security, bypass access or rate controls, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person, use automated access that places an unreasonable load on the service, or use Planet Briefing for an unlawful or harmful purpose. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, its users, or third parties.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 2620612 Ontario Inc. disclaims warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service without notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 2620612 Ontario Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss arising from reliance on the service, unavailable or incorrect information, third-party content, or unauthorized account use. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
