Brazil heads to the polls without a single debate between Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro

Brazilian broadcaster Globo cancelled the last presidential debate an hour before it was due to start after a series of court rulings and the absence of both President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro. The two leading candidates will therefore head to Sunday’s first-round vote without having faced each other in a televised debate.
