Flood warning issued for the Congaree River near Gadsden, South Carolina
The National Weather Service in Columbia issued a flood warning for the Congaree River affecting Calhoun, Lexington, and Richland counties. Minor flooding is forecast, with the river expected to rise above flood stage Tuesday afternoon and fall below it Friday morning.
Why it matters
The forecast includes flooding of portions of Congaree National Park’s lower boardwalk and possible flooding of the Sandy Run subdivision access road.
