Gaza - Level 4: Do Not Travel

On 2026-08-26 the U.S. State Department reissued a Level 3 (Reconsider Travel) advisory for Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza. The advisory added a health risk indicator for Gaza, notes that family members may join U.S. government employees in Israel, and specifies Do Not Travel areas: north of Route 85 to Route 90 to Route 87, within 11.3 km (7 miles) of the Gaza Strip, and within 2.4 km (1.5 miles) of the Israel–Egypt border (except the Taba/Menachem Begin crossing), all due to armed conflict.
