NWS Jacksonville issues Special Marine Warning for coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to St. Augustine
The National Weather Service in Jacksonville warned of a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts and wind gusts of at least 34 knots across coastal waters from Altamaha Sound to St. Augustine. The warning instructed vessels to move to safe harbor immediately and was in effect until 2:45 a.m. EDT.
