Western Cape rolls out free transport safety checks

The Western Cape is offering free vehicle safety checks this week from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Gene Louw Traffic College and participating vehicle testing centres across the province. The checks are aimed at scholar and public transport operators as part of the provincial road safety campaign.

Why it matters

The initiative is intended to help operators identify vehicle defects and address safety concerns before they put passengers at risk.
